Rewrite of Chosen
Angel decides to stay for the finale battle despite Buffy’s protests. He wears the amulet instead of Spike. While he and Spike are both sleeping in the basement, the First appears to both Angel and Buffy in their dreams.
The final battle comes and Angel sacrifices himself. Buffy tells Spike that she thinks she might be in love with him. Spike tells Buffy that she’s not in love with him because she’s still very much hung up on Angel.
Angel tells Buffy to get the Hell out of Sunnydale before everything collapses. They kiss and we last see Angel turning to dust (like Spike did) as the sun beams down on him. Giles drives the group to L.A. so that Buffy can tell Wesley and the others of Angel’s demise.
