Alternate Reality/Angel Season 5
Angel as a character changed a lot over the seven years he graced my TV but most of the changes took place over the five years he was on his own. The Angel who apears in City Of... is very diffrent from the Angel of Not Fade Away but yet they're still the same, so this challenge is what if season five Angel got everything season one Angel wanted would he still want it?
During the time when Illyria was going all self-destructive and time jumping Angel finds her just about to completely end it all and the final explosion instead of killing Angel blast him into an Alternate reality where he never turned the day back in I Will Remember You. Angel wakes up in Sunnydale at 1630 Revello Drive and finds he is living with Buffy. He finds this out by seeing her walk by him talking about whats going to be on they're schedual for the day...you know everyday stuff. Angel is obviosly gonna be thrown a bit. He soon figures out that he's human and in a different reality. He doesn't quite know how to deal though to tell or not to tell? He decides not to tell until he's sure this isn't a spell or something. He took over the gallery after Joyce died and uses it to track where demonic artifacts are going as well as step in when things start to look iffy... like say if the did this before Surprise they would have been able to see Dru bringing all the judge peices to gether before it was too late. He also helps Buffy patrol (he still has all that muscle memory come on Xander patrolled!!! And as we've seen you don't really need super powers to take out vamps they're just really helpful *g* )
Angel finaly after much researching decides to see if the oracles are alive, they are and they tell him that in the other reality the world was destroyed and he was sent to this realty by accident but he is there permantly....they ask if he wants the meories he already has or if he wants to trade them for the memories of this reality...he says he needs to think about it while he's ni LA he tracks down Lorne and Gunn to see what happened to them. he then goes back to Sunnydale and ultimitly decides he wants to exchange his memories.
Here's how the timeline went.... you do not need to write all this history in the story only what happens during the first couple weeks/months Angel's adjusting to the new reality...unless you want to of course
Season 1 Angel/Season 4 Buffy
Angel still lived in LA saving souls, helping people...anything that would need his services specifically as a vampire didn't happen but he still helped people like the girl in In The Dark.
Buffy naturally never dated Riley but they were friends and she found out about the initiative and she had Angel and the gang help her take it down.... Riley then went off with all the rest of the soldiers of his unit to be reasigned.
Buffy and Angel we're together but doing the whole long distance thing so they could re-get to know eachother not that a steamy weekend never occured *G*
Faith caused some havoc but Angel convinced her to turn herself in just like before....
Season 2/ Season 5
OK Angel never really did become a huge thorn in W&H's side so they didn't raise Darla, but when Buffy's mom started to get sick he started to spend more time with Buffy in Sunnydale and after she died he moved to Sunnydale permantly. Buffy stayed in school.
Meanwhile they both of them and the scoobies joined by Wes and Cordy...(Gunn never joined the group. You can decide whether or not you want Doyle to be dead if he's alive he's with Cordy) start researching the key and how to protect Dawn. Glory and all that mess pretty much happened the same except with the extra help the scoobies were able to protect Dawn long enough that Glory missed the window and the portal never opened...
Season 3/ Season 6
The nerd herd made an brief apperance but were taken care of quickly when he noticed all the weird stuff they were gathering together. Giles left for England but all was OK and though it was tough it didn't devastate life as we know it! Holtz came and terrorized Angel and Buffy but was taken care of by the group they helped to banish him to quor toth...
Xander and Anya got married and Tara was NOT killed by Warren. The Scoobies started to settle into a kinda peaceful life on the hellmouth. Just needing to patrol every night but the big demons stayed away...
Season 4 / Season 7
It was another peaceful year basically the first never rose because Buffy didn't die at the end of season 5 and the beast/ jasimine never arrived because Conner was never born.
So peaceful basically all the scoobie settling into daily lives and normal routines...well normal for the Hellmouth... *g*
Must haves-
Buffy and Willow having a coversation about how Angel hasn't touched Buffy in awhile, and them taking about how they're not as crazy as they were when they first got back together and Willow bring up an embarrassing place the group caught them ex. the bronze, giles's during a research party, you get the picture? Angel over hears this....
Spike and Dawn friendship.
Tara becoming a second grade teacher and her and Willow trying to buy a house.
Anya and Xander trying to have a baby, Anya like to share ;-).
Patrolling!! There still are vampires and demons in Sunnydale!!
Willie just cuz I like him!
Dawn and Spike making fun of Buffy and Angel a la the way Cordy and Wes did.
Cordy being pregnant if Doyle's dead than by you choice anyone except Angel or Xander
Wes being really secretive and under slight suspision before the group find out he's opening a custom weapons shop he works with Angel at the gallery tracking shipments so thats how Angel didn't know about the shop
Optionals-
A pair of fuzzy handcuffs used to tie up a demon or something and Anya saying something about how she was mad Xander was using them on a demon and not on her like usual...even the demon being weirded out.
Smut (this is a strong please but it is still optional)
A trip to Doublemeat Palace, Buffy never worked there but still it's fun! Also someone saying how it really doesn't seem all that meaty....
